It won’t burn a hole in your pocket
When it comes to wireless headphones, Indian tech companies are challenging the dominance of other well-known brands like Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo, OnePlus, etc. The Indian ones have beautiful looks and are relatively cheap. However, there are times when their sound quality and overall performance misses the mark when compared to well-known industry leaders. Recently, the brand new Mivi Duopods F50 wireless headphones have gone on sale, priced around Rs 1,000. Let’s take a look at the Mivi Duopods F50 review, which we have been using for over 10 days now.
Mivi Duopods F50 review: Design and performance
Let’s start by discussing the design. The Mivi Duopods F50 case is shaped like a pebble. They have four vertically positioned LEDs on the front that light up, and red and blue LEDs on the headphones indicate pairing status and battery life. They are made entirely of plastic. The earbud case is lightweight but strong enough to withstand accidental drops, even though it’s made of plastic.

The affordable headphones come in four different colors: white, black, blue and coral. The option we have for testing is the blue color.
Both earrings have an open shape and look like a stem. No matter how tight they fit, they won’t penetrate the ear canal. Since the earcups lack rubber tips, we found that they never fit comfortably in our ears and occasionally fall out. Background noise made listening to music difficult as the loose fit failed to successfully seal our ears. So you have to have the volume high to cancel out the ambient noise.

Thanks to the IPX4 protection of the Mivi Duopods F50, you can use them anywhere, including the gym or while exercising in the rain. These headphones come with touch controls that can be used to control volume and switch music. Double-tap the left earpiece to activate the voice assistant. You can also double-tap the right earpiece to answer or end a call. You need to double tap the right earbud to start or stop the music. Additionally, by pressing the right button, users can change the volume without having to constantly take the phone out of their pocket.
The USB-C port for charging can be found on the bottom of the case. After the initial setup, just remove the headphones from the charging case and connect them to your device and they will pair automatically. The device is equipped with Bluetooth 5.1 with a range of 10 meters.
Duopods produce distortion-free music thanks to their 13mm dynamic drivers. The headphones are good for casual use, but they don’t provide professional sound quality and therefore don’t sound amazing in terms of sound quality. Pleasant but not overly deep bass.
However, there is no problem with this when it comes to vocals. They were crisp and clear, making them a fantastic choice if you like to sing. Additionally, compared to other devices we’ve tested recently, the sound was much louder, we found. When it comes to gaming, there are lags.
One more thing about the sound: it’s recommended to keep it at 80% or lower because the music sounds a bit distorted when the volume is all the way up.
However, the battery life of the Duopods F50 is remarkable. The 500mAh battery in these Mivi headphones provides 50+ hours of continuous use. The case can charge the headphones five times and offers approximately 9 hours of talk time. With a short 10-minute charge, the backup battery can last for approximately 10 hours.
We have to mention that the call quality on the Duopods F50 is excellent and the other person can hear you perfectly. Although passive noise cancellation technology helps reduce background noise, they’re still sensitive to it when you’re commuting.
Statement
For the price, we think the Mivi Duopods F50 TWS are much better than some earphones we’ve used in the same price range. We state in every review that fit and sound quality are purely subjective. They cannot be compared to high-end TWS headphones such as Apple Airpods or Samsung Galaxy Buds. We can conclude that the sound and quality are suitable for normal use such as watching movies or listening to podcasts and are ideal for most listeners.
